When you mass plants, you improve greatly the conditions of humidity. Plants placed close together don’t dry out as rapidly as those that are displayed singly or are sparsely grouped.

But you also introduce the problem of watering grouped plants without causing damage to room furnishings by water stains. You’ll save watering time and potential damage to furnishings if you prepare carefully for your plant grouping in advance. You can do this in any one of several ways.

One excellent way is to use a built-in planter or area specially designed for growing plants, It is not a difficult task to install a similar facility. Simply have a tinsmith fashion a shallow,waterproof metal tray of the proportions that you desire. Fill this tray in with pebbles and set your potted plants in place. Now, you can water freely __excess water will drain out satisfactorily, and you’ll run little or no risk of water damage.
